Ozark Farms, 2012-2015

As land at the peri-urban fringe is increasingly urbanized, farmland is transformed and rural communities changed. This work documents transformation of post-agricultural sites in the burgeoning Northwest Arkansas region. Part of a larger study of 20th century agriculture in Northwest Arkansas, which included the rise of commercial poultry farming, this work was intended to raise public consciousness about farmland loss in the region. The work continues to inform landscape architecture projects with private clients seeking to conserve the ecological and cultural significance of their land.
